Karina Diaz Ortega

Karina grew up in Phoenix, AZ and quickly grew a passion for helping her community. She attended Ironwood High School in Glendale, AZ graduating with honors in 2010. Then, she earned her Associate in Arts degree from Glendale Community College in 2017.


In December of 2019, Karina graduated from The University of Arizona with a Bachelors in General Studies with an Emphasize on Social Behavior and Human Understanding. In 2019, Karina worked for the Maricopa County Public Defenders Office as an intern in the Appeals Division. She has also worked under a number of attorneys as a paralegal gaining a vast amount of knowledge of the legal sector. Most recently she became a Legal Document Preparer Certified by the Supreme Court of Arizona. 

Karina is passionate about helping people especially when it comes to legal assistance. She has taken her own life experiences and used them as motivation to educate and empower her community. Karina is a true advocate and leader!
